Roberts - reference edition

Post by Dzombo »

I was at Exclusive Books today and saw the reference edition of Robwrts, Birds of SA.
At R895, with the exchange rate it isnt too bad.
But it is very very heavy.

Is it worth getting?

Perhaps check out this, Dzombo? Might be better than the book with more photos etc.

If you have an iPhone or a Samsung, your best bet is to buy the Roberts app. \O

You get free updates every time they change the names of birds, plus you have all the text from the Roberts field guide and Roberts VII, including all the photos and sketches. You also have the bird calls of ALL the birds which the Sasol app doesn't have. ;-)

Since I have had the app I haven't used my books once. X#X

I use the heavy Roberts I have at home, Dzombo. And the paperback SASOL in the Park. I frown upon the cellphone stuff, and beat Sprocky regarding speed of identification on our April picture winner trip! ^0^
