Re: Khutse Game Reserve
The road from Letlhakeng to the Khutse Gate is 100km of dirt road, Its a decent road as they have worked on it and it is hard, The last 10km before the gate is soft sand and a 4x4 is recommended especially if you are pulling a trailer or caravan but you can get through it with a 2x4. you will not be able to get there with a car.
The roads in the park vary from soft to hard as well depending if it has rained or not and it is the same as the sand in the entrance, a 4x4 is recommended for you are pulling something behind your car.

Robin
Welcome here and for sharing this.
Love the two photos of the camera trap
And that's a large number of Giant Flattened Dung Beetle (Pachylomera femoralis) being busy there

Re: Khutse Game Reserve
Thank you Klipspringer.
There are only unfenced campsites where you get a long drop toilet and a shower with a bucket to put your own water in to shower as there are no facilities or a water supply.
There are generally 4 camp sites per pan with a waterhole (manmade through a borehole connected via solar panels), Mostly a cleared area around a tree ( Unless the elephants have broken the tree down) with a toilet and a shower. The sites are generously spaced away from each other so that you do not hear or see anyone else. The main Khutse pan has 10 campsites that are spaced closer together but sill far enough to not be disturbed by your neighbor. you can book certain sites as you want a site with a bigger tree as to get as much shade as possible.
There are very Few roads through the park, the only roads they have there connect the pans and no other roads where you can explore the whole park so that they can protect the originality of the bush.

It looks as if you have a very organized setup, camping-wise
