Nice pics of the elephants crowding around the water hole \O

The klipspringer pic is rather special and of course the heron awaiting his luck ;-)

Not it was very poorly looking .
Richprins wrote: Mon Nov 22, 2021 10:25 am A grumpy-looking buff indeed, Rog!

It certainly looks dry!

I like the ellies at the water, and the heron! \O

That train...

Yes it was still very dry .
Klipspringer wrote: Mon Nov 22, 2021 11:47 am I like the ellies in the riverbed. They go for clean water as the waterhole water is usually dirty with lots of poo etc.

Our next sighting on our trip was these lovely birds .
Image

And shortly thereafter our usual sighting of a Secretary bird leaving any area we are in O**
Image

We then came upon a few vehicles that pointed out some flat cats .They were very flat out in the shade as it was hot by now . One sat up and rolled over and was the best of the sighting before we left on our way to get to Tshokwane for a break
Image

At Kumana dam we found a five legged ;-) bull ellie that was trying to cool down in the heat
Image

This Buf did not have any luck at the waterhole
Image

It was very dry as can be seen in the scenery .
Image

A male and female were resting in the shade a bit further on .Most likely a mating pair but there was no activity while we were there
Image

Image

We stopped in at Satara ...

What is that train? Restaurant? "Hotel"? And how do you reach it :-? You walk from one end of the train to the other end inside the train like in a normal train. -O-

It's the famous train hotel at Skukuza and I think that you walk outside on the other side from where the pic was taken. The restaurant is not on the train, but close by.
