The S118 is a delightful little road. It gets you off the H3 and away from the endless stream of traffic. In places it is quite hilly which makes for interesting low level shots with animals standing at eye level.

At the Eastern end is James waterhole which you can see through the trees.

There is normally little traffic and the Mhlambane river crossing on the S114 is a perfect place to stop and listen to the sounds of the bush

James waterhole is also slightly raised so animals are at eye level.

and at the height of the drought this hippo found some water.
