No rain in the Phala area for about two weeks now Bookworm. 0*\ We need rain, even if only to break the heat. X#X

What was meant to be a 'magical evening' after a lovely day in the Park, didn't turn out as expected in Skukuza on Sunday 27 May 2018. There was a bit of thunder early evening and quite suddenly the storm broke just around 19:30. That's nature, I guess! Even the warthogs rudely kicked out of their burrow due to stormwater and now trying to find some warmth around the office block when we were checking for damage. Many long time residents of Skukuza indicated never has it experienced such a severe hailstorm. Many windows out, much damage to cars and caravans. Hail shown here in restcamp how it piled up at the lower end of the campsite with destroyed tent also shown.
