I was at Sirheni when this incident happened - the lady had dementia and wandered out of her cottage at roughly 4pm and walked out of the main gate without anyone noticing. Her husband reported her missing, the park staff were incredible - the rangers responded immediately and were extremely pro active and caring - it was a terribly unfortunate incident and no one is to blame. I understand that she was found at 11pm. Please give the necessary support and compassion.

Not exactly the best place for a person with dementia. Probably they could not leave her at home alone.

I must say Park Staff are always brilliant when tourists may be affected in emergencies!
