Katja, such wonderful pics!
It's so true that once you start looking you can find some real miniature works of art in your own backyard. I go out everyday and try to take a few pics of insects, etc., and always end up spending way more time than I intended to. Here are a few taken in my yard:
Frog Prince (a palmetto flower had fallen on his head and he looks like he's waiting for a princess to kiss
)
Eye Candy (horse fly on palm flower stalk)
Preening baby katydid on hibiscus
Lynx spider on yellow orchid
Spider-hunting-wasp with prey.
Metallic green bee on orchid
