Good intro RP. \O I suppose we will have to wait two months for the next installment now? 0*\

Thank you all for your kind comments!

Day 0 (Not really in the Park yet!)

Dwarf and I travelled up from the 'Spruit to Phala in his semi-luxury Chinese SUV...dubbed "Mao Zedong"...or "The Dong" for short. \O

"The Dong" rarely exceeds 100km/h, except on downhills, which is fine as Dwarf as we know from other reports is a Guvamint Offishul, and has no interest in going faster than that. I have quite the opposite idea of how travelling should be done... 0*\

Also there was no smoking allowed, and I didn't really want to have a beer so early in case Sprocky kicked me out AGAIN...

To add to the torture Dwarf has a remarkable style of storytelling, which has to be experienced to be believed. He should easily be able to corner both the babysitting and insomniac-curing markets with his tales of Govt. meetings and intricacies... :O^

DW: "And so this land redistribution mandate was dependant on tribal approval in terms of Section 27.7.a2 of the Act, which left us in this pretty scary situation, as Public Works had not submitted their PGR forms as required by Provincial regulation 45, not to mention stipulation 5, of all things! Heeh heeh heeh!"

RP: "Zzzzzzz..."

We arrived in Phala intact...in fact the road is stunning at the moment, well done .gov! ^Q^

Stayed at African Lily...very reasonable indeed, and not my first time! \O Because of Dwarf's conservative driving and lateness in the first place (He realised his vehicle's license had expired that morning and renewed it...presumably causing chaos/slumbering at the licensing offices) we were a little late and booked in via the security guard.

This is a quaint mural near our eventual room...

It is very pretty, but scares the sh1t out of you late at night when you arrive from a night out on the town in the moonlight... O-/

So off to Sprocky's place, and straight back with Sprocky and LO in the "Dong", as by some miracle I was booked in under my first name, and another group under my surname...so we had to switch rooms. This is more or less how the trip carried on for the next four days or so... -O-

But Phala is Phala!

At last an opportunity to enter Sprocky's house again! O\/

His cleanparents were there, and we greeted them, as well as his lovely SO...also a favourite of leachy who had been there a few days earlier! O0

A very hospitable chap, this Sprocky...we caught up quickly and I did some internet stuff in his war room:

Then it was off to Buffalo Grill, on his advice, as it was getting late.

This is the ravingest spot in Phala, and we were amused to see two middle-aged fellows arrive at the same time as us and both literally fall out of their bakkie before storming ...stumbling into the establishment and raising cain!

Good food!

Hey RP, well done on not smoking and beering on such a prolonged trip in the car. \O

Methinks, your friend Dwarf might as well be a teacher. 0'

Show respect for wild creatures. DON'T report your actual sightings on the internet!!!
