Pilanesberg Tariffs and Gate Times

North West Parks Board (NWPB) has removed this advantage for campers and residents and therefore each day you wish to enter into Pilanesberg Game Reserve you will need to pay your daily entrance fee at any of the main gates.

Prior to 1 December any visitor camping at Pilanesberg would have to pay a ONCE OFF entry fee, meaning if you stayed for a week you only pay the entrance fee once, and may enter the park for as long as you are camping at the camps close to the parks .This has changed, as from 1 December 2017 campers and Golden Leopard Resort residents fees will no longer include entry into Pilanesberg Game Reserve, meaning they are now required to pay the entrance fee daily, meaning a severe increase in costs for a holiday of several days.Pilanesberg is not aSANParks and the WildCard does not apply to it, if fact there is no compensationary measure for Pilanesberg in such a way as in fact the the WildCard in for SANParks. Therefore, any stay of 4 days or longer in Kruger or Marakele will in terms of accomodation and daily fees be cheaper than Pilanesberg..

This was introduced two weeks before the main December holiday, without prior notice and without giving any reasons. Sounds like...?

Yep, the roads are in a terrible condition but I doubt this money will find its way to that problem!

They have obviously heard the public outcry and halved the entrance fees for December for those staying in the camps.
