Good news is, that wild card owners might get discounts at the shops, that's what I understand from the
PPP-Agreement document
43.8.1 The Private Party will be obliged to participate in the Loyalty Card Programme of SANParks.
(...)
43.8.3 The Loyalty Card Programme will require the Private Party to offer either a discount or cash-back rewards to Retail Facility users in possession of a Wild
Card.

A new development regarding The restaurants..from SP Spokesperson:
The retail and restaurants in the Kruger National Park refer. Tourvest Holdings (Pty) Ltd was appointed as retail operator for another 10 years following a lengthy tender process. SANParks is confident that many of the issues that were raised in the past such as freshness of products and price would be addressed under the new contract as the operator in their proposal had committed to certain initiatives in this regard.
The Punda Maria and Shingwedzi retail shops will also reside under them but this change of operation will only happen in February 2013. In light of that, SANParks customers can expect uninterrupted service delivery over the December / January holiday period.
With regards to the restaurants, SANParks is currently preparing the tender documents in order to invite prospective operators. After in-depth investigations SANParks has decided to invite branded solutions for the restaurants as this bring standardised product and consistency of service delivery. It is anticipated that new operators will be appointed in April 2013. In the interim the Compass Group continues to operate the KNP restaurants under a Management Agreement.'
There are concerns that this may include fast-food outlets!

Why Toko
Surely there’s a list of those who have been invited to tender, as it is with any tender
