@Richprins: I only spotted dup after nigthfall when I had no camera on me. Seems he became strictly nocturnal

It was a strange trip that started very slow and in the second half it became better and better with the most spectacular sighting (wild dog fight) on my last morning. On the first day I was lucky to get to camp (BnD) in time because my flight was 2 hours late and th roadworks between Nelspruit and Malelane took some extra time. On my first full day I travelled from BnD to Satara and you can imagine that I was full of expectations. Obviously I expected too much and I arrived at Satara with only a few pics amd and a bit dissapointed and surprised. Where did all the animals go to
At least Satara greeted me with a nice sunset and an amazing sunrise the following morning

and great that you spotted a crab - Nice pirture but I can imagine that you were looking for the beach

We also saw only a few ground hornbills during our previous trip and were already a bit disappointed but the farer North we travelled the more we saw of them

The sunsets at Satara are the best and it is always better not to expect that much as then normally something very special came across and for sure there are always quiet days So Carpe Diem
