Sprocky, nice sighting \O

Despite the numerous people in the hide, I did see an Osprey.
And also a Squacco Heron fishing from some low hanging branches.

Saw a double kill there once... :shock:

Was sitting watching a small frog on one of the stumps below the hide, when a little water monitor dashed down and caught it! O:V O/\

The monitor was sitting there quite smugly, when a second later a small crocodile appeared from the water and caught IT! 0*\

(Not a very large-scale kill, if you excuse the pun...)

There are actually two dams..the lower one is at the golf course, also sometimes referred to as Lake Panic. The name is there because it is the emergency water supply for Skukuza City, as far as I know! \O

Mafunyana stream feeds them...the lower one got washed away in one of the floods!
