Favourite Camping Spots in Kruger

Don't do camping anymore, but some old favourite spots, mostly linked to shade:

Punda "short left" as you come in at the gate...it's normally quite empty and spots under trees.

Letaba by far the best campsites all over!

Berg & Dal, anywhere next to the fence, also lots of shade.

Pretoriuskop, prime spot lately right at the Northwest corner of the Camp!

The other big camps all suck as far as camping is concerned, IMO! :)

I'm not a very experienced camper, but Shingwedzi is fantastic
Next to the fence on the right you get the shade from the trees along the swimming pool fence and away from most of the campers.
Perhaps this is why the Civet preferred to hang out near my spot on the other side of the fence
I have seen genet, civet, elephant and side striped jackal from the fence camping at Shing so I'm well in favour -O

We camped once, for a few nights, pitching the tent under a lapa at Lake Kyle in Zim....absolutely the best ever, but irrelevant here!

Do you practice your tent pitching skills on your stoep .............that doesn't sound correct
