Did a bit of research. Nigel Dennis' Where to watch Game in the Kruger Nationa park says the S52 Red Rock's drive is noted as THE best place in Kruger to see Sharpe's Grysbok, particularly the Northern part of the route, just past the turnoff to the the causeway river crossing. \O

(sorry, I know this is the Olifant's thread, but thought the info would be useful).

Nice pics, 'possie and Flutts! \O

Interestingly, at the beginning, (a looong time ago), real tusks were used to decorate the gate!

Elephants kept coming to break them off!

Then plastic copies became the norm! -O

I also love Olifants....but haven't had great game viewing close by...we always have to head further south to find game. ;-)

Olifants is a "must" camp to visit, at least once in a lifetime!

- Incomparable view!!!!

- Good predator sightings, especially southward

- Good general game

- Stunning accomodation on the perimiter

- Sufficient road network

On the down side:

- A bit pricey?

- No campsite

- Few rare antelope

- Limited availability

- Too far North re. accessability

- No pool, I think?
-O -O -O -O -O -O -O

if there were many then they would not be rare ????????
