I also think that the ones with 4 or 5 horns should be separate species...but what do I know...?
Regarding the "flaming" giraffes, there is a theory that some young males exhibit "homosexual" tendencies...mounting each other and what not. Probably just frustrated and practising...who knows?

Unfortunately we arrived when it had already "dropped", but still we were lucky I took about 20 pics and it took half an hour before it got on its feet; the long legs continued to collapse.
