Tourons are everywhere
but more of them in the south.
Thanks Duke, BC, Toko, Nan and RP
We take the sightings as they come, we go to the park to relax! Usually the good stuff appears when we least expect it!

Hi B.T. Wishing you a fantastic trip and hope that you get to see at least one of your missing three.
We are at Skukuza at the moment and find that we cannot upload photos - can you upload photos where you are?

Hi STF! I'm still at home! We start our trip tomorrow. When I did my live TTs in the past, uploading images was always slow but I could manage at most camps. I think Skukuza should be one of the best for that. What network are you using?

Hi guys, thanks for the good wishes!
We are now at Shingwedzi after 4 nights at Tsendze which was nice and quiet (mostly) but the grass in the area is very long and coupled with the thick mopani makes it difficult to see anything. I'm only getting online now because what little signal there is at Tsendze is intermittent at best and non existent most of the time.
I'm not going to spoil the fun by revealing too much of what we've seen (no Pangolin yet
) but I will reveal that we had an awesome tusker sighting a couple of days ago at Mooiplaas waterhole. As we approached, there was one tusker to the western side of the road and another
THREE drinking from the tank!!!!
There are Buffs everywhere, herds and herds of them and each cow has a calf in tow, they far outnumber Impies. Yesterday we didn't see a single Impie and the day before the count was three! In the same two days we saw hundreds of Buffs!
I've also got pictures of plenty of interesting bugs for Toko to identify! I have managed to ID one of them - an Ant-mimicking Spider (Myrmarachne natalica). Great job reorganising the Spider Info Book Toko
Sanity has prevailed at Mopani restaurant; breakfast is being served on the balcony overlooking the dam. They stopped this a few years ago for some lame reason. Unfortunately, the service hasn't improved much - my breakfast this morning wasn't delivered as ordered so the waitress didn't get a tip (I had a hissy-fit about this the last time I ate there); and the prices are still too high.
More tomorrow.......
