Ja...that bridge had a bad tourist accident a few years ago, too!
Friday nights are not generally for sissies in the Phala area, or anywhere in SA, for that matter!
Will forward!

Please everybody let us not jump to conclusions. This incident is reported to the specific sub-division that will handle the investigation. A report will be issued at a convenient time and if there is any thing that needs to be address it will be address. It seems at this stage that due to the shortage of vehicles and resources it could be that the incident was not related to human error. please let us wait for the official report.
ps.As I have a objective view of this incident could somebody please nominate me for a pair of horns.......

It looks as if there is another bridge next to the real one; could they have take that one by mistake
The real bridge seems to have the parapet to high to fly over it
The pic does to show damages of the bridge.

According to someone who is stationed in the Park the Vuswa Manager told her about the incident on Saturday morning and that it was a vehicle travelling from Mopani to take somebody to the clinic or hospital!!!! One would assume that all Sanparks vehicles are equipped with radios and it is somewhat strange that the occupants of the vehicle spent the night on the bridge. Surely if they were travelling outside camp gate closing times the gate would have been notified that there was a vehicle on its way through and alarm bells would have rung when the vehicle did not arrive. Hmmmmm twill be interesting to hear the eventual outcome!

Penny, you're not really expecting to hear about any outcome are you?
BTW, what's the story about the guide/ranger firing into the air or something to scare off an elephant because it was in the way (not aggressive, just inconvenient
) There is a video on SP Kruger FB group - no response from SP of course. Anyone know about that one?
