Re: Mountain Zebra - Mountain Cottage

the "kloof cottage" is situated in the vicinity of the yellow circle
not on or even near the top of a mountain..

this is the start of the 4x4 track and is probably the most challenging bit
over a granite outcrop...

moonrise over the chimney of the house..

the braai area.

the front of the house

the ablution area..

one needs to be a bit of a mountain goat to tackle the stairs in and out of the house..

these ant colonies are everywhere around the braai area
and surprisingly do not clamber up and over your shoes and legs..

the future is not what it used to be

Ja, ablutions away from the house. That's one of the reasons, the SO and I dish out lots of money to be able to stay outside the main camp.
And considering that the shower is basically a unit by itself and doesn't get any heat from adjoining rooms, I think I'd only stay there if it was
deep summer (which I don't happen to enjoy in SA yet...).
Plus this accommodation is fenced and the guesthouse is not

God put me on earth to accomplish a certain amount of things. Right now I'm so far behind that I'll never die.
