Re: SA National Parks and Reserves dominate best in Africa list
What role does word of mouth play when Foreigners make their bookings, Dzombs, and may social media be playing a bigger and bigger role?

RP - I think our posts crossed.
Not sure this survey is meaningful.
As I said above. If you want to be pampered. Have white table cloths, A 3 course 5* meal. A game drive where the "tracker" takes you right up to the leopard in the tree, then 5 mins later the pride of lions. Well then the Kruger experience isn't going to compare fairly to that????

Not too sure tbh.
But IMO it's about expectations and to an extent (misguided) perceptions.
Have a look on tripadvisor - the questions asked and help asked for - and you will see what I mean.

And playing "Devils Advocate".
I can see why SANP wanted the hotel/spa
If they can tap into the market going next door to the private reserves. Then why not?

Maybe, Dzombs, but the fact is that Kruger has fallen in the ratings in a year, which is relevant.Dzombo wrote: ↑Thu Jun 14, 2018 9:11 am

Yes
There are multiple sections
There's a forum
And also a destination listing with reviews and comments.
And you can also make bookings through them
https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotels-g3 ... otels.html
I did a search for Kruger National Park and this is what came up
https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowForum ... _Park.html
And this is the Kruger section of the Forum

Or have I got the wrong end of the proverbial stick?
