YAY! Thank you all for your additions to this topic.
I hope peeps will add past sightings and that it will continue into the future. Even if you have the pics in your TT, you can also enter them here so people can see that sometimes staying in is very productive and relaxing.
BC - I remember that epic saga from your TT!!
A Guiness (too lazy to look up the correct spelling
) Book of World's Records Award for you
Or at least an extra whiskey or two... Please link your TT with these wonderful sightings whenever you have time
Flutts - the picture quality matters not at all here. The memory is in your heart and mind, and the experience in the moment the most important part.
( Good action shots!)
RP - great!
Liz - you have raised an issue that I couldn't figure out how to solve: do I do entries Park by Park, or Camp by Camp, etc? Ideally, we would have a broad topic (Room .....Wildlife Seen....), then individual Parks and under that specific camps, so that someone wanting to choose where to stay could peruse their options. Sort of like "Best Accom. Numbers" for various camps. Anyway, at least it's a start, and I encourage you to start a KTP one for your entries and if they can all be combined later, lovely.
I have some from Skukuza and not sure whether to post them as a "Reply" in this topic, or start a new one. Ideas?
You KNOW some of us on the Forum have KTP entries.
Again, it's not photo quality at all, it's what you experienced.

Re: Room With A View - Wildlife Seen From Your Camp
When I used to visit Kruger as a youngster with my parents and brother, we would often stay at Olifants and not go out at all - we'd just sit at the lookout point all day, and we had many great sightings.
On the Brat's first trip in 2008 we were staying at Satara and took a drive up to Olifants. We went to see if anything was happening at the lookout. There was a huge crowd and great excitement as there was a lioness hunting in the riverbed. There was a waterbuck and an impala within range but she chose the impala. It was amazing to see the lioness sprinting through the water and bringing down her prey.
It was a bit like watching a rugby match, as the crowd were split in their support...some were cheering for the lioness and some for the impala!
