I think this is the oldest major tar road in Kruger...it caused quite a stir and many purists said that it would mean the end of the Park!

I don't want to reopen the discussion on tar roads in the Kruger (it is a bit too late anyway) but I noticed, by watching videos from tourists, that many herbivores get caught by predators on the road because they slip on the tar. They should add a anti-skid surface to the road.
Once, I had to brake full brakes, although I was not driving fast, because a Waterbuck slipped just in front of my car as he wanted to run (maybe he did not hear the car arriving).
