Your pics make any sighting stand out, Peej! X#X

One must cut the big elephant carcasses open, really, otherwise they take forever to get into...even lion and hyena struggle sometimes! O-/

Love the delinquent monkeys and the wabbit! :-0

The hare running away is a lovely bum pic! We used to have a topic with "Bum Shots" and it must still be somewhere :-?

Obviously one still eats well at the main camp restaurant \O

Yep no issues with the restaurant for us.... seems like the franchise is being well run at Addo \O

Thanks Flutts... that warpaint was quite amazing. The ellies are so often an orange tint in Addo, so it was cool to see one setting a new fashion trend lol

Some accomm pics coming up soon...
The railway and road run just outside the game fence on the northern side of the main game area. If you're somewhere around Domkrag and look to the fence you'll see them the other side. Greater Addo incorporates the land to the north of the road as well, so to get to Nyathi you have to hop out the one section, over the railway/road and in another gate to the north \O

After entering the Nyathi side, we trundled up the gravel road towards our accommodation. There are a number of river crossings as the road follows the Coerney River course - some of those nearer camp had sections of water flowing over the low-level bridges which was good to see. I've got some pics of the scenery which I'll post in due course.

There was a fair bit of general game around including some zebra and plenty of eland - though nothing close enough to our road to photograph. There are around 300 elephants in the Nyathi section, but we didn't spot any as we made our way north. In one of the nice open areas we found an ostrich family with 9 chicks O\/ O\/

The weather forecast wasn't great for the afternoon and the next day, so some animals like this kudu appeared to be taking precautionary shelter 0:

But this youngster couldn't see what the fuss was all about ;-)

Nyathi camp really is in a stunning secluded location at the end of a narrow valley with a wide floodplain stretching in front of the chalets...

The chalets are in a nice raised position with decks running along the length of them O:V

The inside of the chalets is done up nicely as well. Air con in a few of the rooms plus the kitchen was well equipped with a big fridge/freezer as well as a proper oven and four plate stove.

At the end of the deck is a nice braai area as well as a small splash pool X#X

Looks very nice \O

Did you get any animals in the big space in front of the chalet?

Are they single chalets or do they have a wall in common?
