Yes tiny stones ..But it works really well ..No Grass ..its the Karoo

Coming to think of it none of Krugers camps have grass anymore and the Soil you camp on on the East side (Basalt) like in Letaba is very dirty ..I prefer camping on Granite soils like Maroela = much cleaner and Kalahari Park the Soil is very clean ..Like Red Beach sand ..just falls off your tent when packing up whereas at Letaba ..you have a dirty black tent forever

The Lesser Honey Guide pictured here was always tring to lay its eggs in the nearby Nest Hole of the African Pied Barbet ..Intriging battle that went on for 5 days when we sadly had to leave
