We saw it again on our last trip, but you could tell that it was six months older and much more wary of cars by now.

Don't they develop quicker? From November to April there are 5 months

Also mine did not care one bit about the cars

The next day it was at exactly the same place but it had caught a mongoose.

Don't think so. Apparently it takes 7 years until they reach full adult plumage
