I'm sure I wasn't the first one, but it certainly was a first for me
I remember Michele Nel having had to rush out of the shower for some lions at Grootkolk once.
Only she seemed to have managed to keep the towel in place

Like I said to Lis - at least a first for me
And FYI: We did stay in camp the whole day sometimes

The same applies for us when in Kruger and believe me when you travel that way there are always nice surprises around
I firmly believe in karma… First of all, if you share with people even if they are not necessarily eager to share with you,
you'll get rewarded eventually. And of course, if you manage to enjoy the smaller things, you'll be treated to extraordinary
things.

With that leopard so early on we though we were either in for a trip of a life time, but were actually tending to think that it would probably rather be a very quiet trip. Turned out to be the latter but not half as bad as it could have been. So no complaints

We missed both Leopard and Giant eagle Owl
Ja, but you had some very nice lion sightings which we kinda missed out on.

7th April 2019 Urikaruus
After the long travels behind as well as ahead of us - we were going to Grootkolk the next day - and with no intelligence about any sightings around Urikaruus, we decided to take it slow and stay in camp for the day. It was extremely quiet at the waterhole but the birds and the squirrels kept me entertained
Curios
The hornbills were pretty attentive to what we were up to on the deck. In fact, when I ate some chashew at some point, I had one eyeing until it decided to check things out from a closer vintage point… It almost sat on my hand

But that one got shoed away. Their bills are just too big for my fingers
A solitary kori came for a visit. He seemed to have a lump in his throat

In the afternoon the clouds were building up nicely and we had hoped for some much needed rain, but the thunderstorm moved elsewhere and it stayed as bone dry as it had been before.

Love the squirrel!

Lovely clouds, pity they didn't bring rain.
