PJL's photos are never over-exposed --00-- lol
Good point on both fronts
I actually tried to sort out the pic but the contrast is way off as well so what can you do -O- 0: 0:
Well done on the framing RP though - I'm certain it wasn't accidental ^Q^

Thanks, Bro... :O^ lol

A bit further on down the S142 one finds Baanbreker Windmill, which was dysfunctional as far as we could see...

q.jpg

By now the river was totally dry, and we stopped on the causeway where one turns off to Frazersrus! A very docile spot indeed... :-0

q1.jpg

While sitting there I heard the distinctive call of a scops owl, of all things!

RP: "Now, my boy, look carefully, they hide very well!"

Bl: "Oh nonsense, no owl makes a sound like that... :O^ "

RP: "There! It sounds like it is in the tree on your side!"

q2.jpg

Bl: "Yes, I can hear it! What a genius you are!!! ^Q^ ^Q^ "

RP: "De nada."

I most certainly have never seen one that is not in a camp or picnic spot, so this was very nice indeed too! O/\

A day of firsts!

Extremely chuffed, we went on to the windmill, which was operating! O\/

This place will definitely see me again! There is a clear view, and a couple of good shade trees over the parking area...very rare these days. O:V O:V

And then we relaxed a bit, whipping out some tea and cold toebies! ..0..

The one problem is that the water is far away, regarding pics! :-(

Next week - one of the sightings of the trip here! 0()
