Each low water bridge we passed, the Turtles approached the car, quite funny to watch but sad that they were probably only doing this to get fed.

A little turtle practicing acrobatics

After a pit stop at Afsaal, we took the H2-2 down to the S114, then on to the S119 where we had seen the Leopard cubs last August.

There was plenty general game on the S114 and S119, and as we neared the spot from last year we found this leopard.

We sat alone with the leopard for about 20 minutes before cars started to arrive, again the other visitors were on best behavior and we all enjoyed the silence while the leopard continued with daily life.

We had a last yawn before the little leopard settled down to sleep

and that was the sign to continue. We still had not had the lion sighting that we set out this morning and we still had plenty of time, so we took the S25 back to Croc Bridge.

With all the leopards you see - who knows, perhaps you saw this one as a cub

The drive back to Croc Bridge was uneventful, except for us coming across a group of ladies that had a flat tyre. They had done most of the hard work but were stuck trying to pull the flat off, we helped change to the spare. Then moved on, at the S108 split, we still had time to do the loop up to the H5.

A car heading down the S108 was reversing and when we passed, he told us that we had just missed lions crossing the road but that there were two males 1km west of the H5 turn off.

When we got there, they were sleeping right next to the road.
