The wild cat was sitting in some kind of nest?

Stunning landscape there and I can't wait to learn what these worms are 0()

Those 2 Rooiputs Lions are magnificent ..We saw them in April last year while at Rooiputs ..They came through camp a couple of times during our 12 night stay at Campsite 3 ...but my best sightings of them were at Kij Kij ...But I was so disappointed that the Authorities had chosen them and a couple of local lionesses to but those Ghastly collars on for some obscure UK research outfit who 'donated' money ..Really spoilt a lot of my pics let alone the reported cruel amateurish attempts of trying to collar them in Jan 2019..Photoshop did help a bit

2 cars is a crowd in my book..I look for getting out at 7am from Rooiputs 'Gate'Opening Time in April' that gives me 30 mins before the Dakar Rally from Twee Rivieren arrives and best light ....Then back to camp to literally let the dust settle and have cereal and then we go out to mid late morning but when the traffic gets too much we go back to unfenced Rooiputs to chill and watch the NATURAL passing traffic. Oh for those early pre school hols in the 1970s and early 80s camping at Nossob for 3 weeks at a time as the ONLY camp residents apart from an admin bloke at reception , the Section Ranger and the Scientist Dr Gus Mills..The staff in other words were in the majority

We noticed that whilst this morning, both males had been collared, that the one lion had dropped his collar at the sight.
Brilliant that the lion finally got rid of that huge ghastly collar after about a year ..Pity he did it right next to the road as guess what it will be put right back on ..hopefully by a proffessional this time so he doesnt get a double dose of anasthetic..thats what happened to one of those males when the collaring happened ..they nearly lost him
