Thanks All.

We saw them in the morning on the drive from Skukuza up to Tshokwane.
Sat with them for over an hour before they eventually disappeared into the bush. Not a lot of cars, just myself and one or two others that didn't stay long. A delivery truck even stopped to watch them.

For our afternoon drive we did the Sk/LS road.
There were lions next to the road, with the associated mayhem. @#$
Decided to leave the morons to it, and we turned back and went over the Sabie bridge and headed back towards Tshokwane. The Sable were back at the same spot. We spent another hour or so with them before heading back to camp for gates.

Hey Dzombo 0/*

Just catching up.

We also found the majority of OSV’s in the south a problem at the moment, especially those on the H4-1/H4-2/S1. O/

Agreed on the check in times \O

Great rare antelope sightings. ^Q^ ^Q^ ^Q^ The sable on the H1-2 just up from the H12 are locals and are seen in that area fairly often in the dry months. (Including the S36 on a similar latitude line).

Fantastic sighting of lion cubs between Satara and Olifants. O/\

Casper is getting old now. :-(

@Richprins
Your comment in the other thread reminded me of this.
Hyaphane palms. Letaba camp
There are lots of this palm in the area and elsewhere in Kruger. They are browsed heavily on by elephants and are severely stunted. These don’t flower, and don’t produce seeds. So there is no increase in the population with new genetic material. There is only vegetative multiplication
Lots of seeds on the ground beneath the ones in camp

This is from a trip in 2018
Taken from B n D camp - the pathway overlooking the dam.
An elephant stripping a Phoenix palm. Palm leaves are quite tough, but the newly emerging fronds are a bit softer
