Did you not go to the Lake Panic hide?
Tx Lis.

We give the hides a miss because my dad's hearing is not great and talks too loudly!
Mongoose/wild dogs!! Same thing!!

Thanks for your kind comments.
Tx pooky!
We always enjoy Skuks...even if it is the busiest part of the park!
Always good to see doggies!

Super super photos Fluts. The dogs, the kingfisher, the young martial are real winners.
Those homemade sosaties look scrumptious.

Getting dark or not - wild dogs are always a treat, treat, treat!
And I love that klippie. Don't think I have seen many pics of one lying
down in such a relaxed manner. Beautiful.

Mel, we feel the same way about the dogs...last saw them in 2010 so we were very happy!

Skukuza
Up early again to do a round trip to Lower Sabie. We headed down the H1-1 to get onto the H3, then onto the Bume road, and the H4-2 to LS.
First up was this birdie. Is it a Brown Snake Eagle?
A Golden Orb in the morning light.
Some horns in the grass. -O
Somewhere along the route, some grey blobs in the grass.
On the Bume road we found our first hyenas...two young ones who didn’t seem too sure of us!
A Bateleur doing its morning ablutions.
Two terrapins for the price of one! -O
Another water monitor.
A tell-tale sign. Unfortunately we didn’t find the sign-maker!

That hyena is a cutie pie. Like the bateleur and the eagle as well.
I think, you're right on the brown snake eagle. But better wait till
Dewi confirms. -O Also, the water monitor - just love its posture.
