We came onto this lonely impala , took a pic , and suddenly he started with this amazing " act " .
Never seen anything like this . It seems that he was rubbing his horns , maybe it was itchy :O^
Went on for about a minute , then he stopped and walked away O**

No idea, okie! I think they mark with the black-tufted glands on the hind feet as they move about, nana?

You can observe this often with Nyala and Eland bulls trashing the ground and rubbing horns and forhead on the ground to show dominance and they often dig into the soil to get some urine and other smell :shock:
