we enjoyed the sunrise and then left for TR.

on the dune road we saw a kori



steenbok



and whistling rats

on the Nossob road just South of Kij Kij there was a cape fox den

and then another highlight – meerkats

and a lone hartebeest on the ridge



The trap cam (or at least the termite mound) is still at Houmed



a PCG

next to the turn-off to the lower dune road – meerkats again. There were only three of them and they were very closte to the tawnie’s nest.

I really wanted to take a decent picture of a kori in flight. We saw one on the access road to KK every evening but the first night I was not ready with the camera and today my SO forgot to break. Thus, I had to take a picture throug the windscreen of a driving car. Maybe next time.

but we managed a picture of a red driver ant (I think)
