Very funny indeed, BC!!! -O
Day 3 Part 7:
Day tree was a very long day indeed!
It ended as usual with a stunning evening drive along the river, and some nice photo ops!
On the way back from Crooks' Corner:
So hung around a bit for the back-lighting:
And then my favourite pic of the year, never mind the trip!!!
That night it was Uncle Fixit's turn to make supper for 20...I can't quite remember what it was, but a lot of pots were involved, being heated/reheated around the blazing fire...!
RP: "Be careful where you leave those potjies! Someone WILL fall over one!"
UF: "Relax!"
2 hours later:
RP: "Be Potjiesh where you leave thoshe carefullsh! Shome..."
UF: "Relax!"
PA: "Are you insinuating negligence on the behalf..."
PW: "I object!"
PA: "Why?"
PW: "The witness is my brother!"
PA: "The witness is my brother too! I object!"
PW: "That does not count, as I objected first!"
PA: "But I am the middle brother, therefore in terms of Section..."
PW: "Aha! Which section are we in!?8)"
PA: "What?"
PW:"We are in Pafuri section! Case closed!"
Another example of the delightful conversation...
A further 2 hours later, after most had gone to bed and I was joining the younger members of the family at the fire:
RP: "You don't know how lucky you...oooouffff!"
Now it is quite an unusual experience to fall over a big potjie next to the fire, deliberately placed there to injure your shin....but it was quite amazing to fall headfirst into the fire, and be caught in mid air by your family members just in time! Thanks, family!8)
RP: "Well done! That was just an exercise to prove the dangers of big pots next to a dim fire! Let that be a lesson!"
