Day 4 Part 2:

Now Prinsadam, my middle brother, also a lawyer, had issued instructions for me to join him in a little afternoon drive along the river...

Image

RP: "Errr, what buck would you say that is?"

PA: "Nyala! What, are you stupid?"

RP: "No, just checking! Our little brother has lost his marbles a bit..."

PA: "Do you have proof of said fact, and are you aware of the consequences of challenging the mental capabilities of a Legal Proffessional in the Employ of the Satate, as outlined in Paragraph 3.4 of subsection 7 of Act..."

RP: " Oh f&**k...just give me a beer..."

PA: "That would seem an equitable solution!"

So we meandered our merry way through paradise, drinking in the sounds and smells and sights of the magnificent gallery forest, and other things! So nice to chat with family not seen often. Aaaahhhhhhhh....

PA: "Shtop!!!"

RP: "What?"

PA: "Crowned Eagle!!!!"

Image

RP: (Head in hands) "Gnnnnnn... O/ "

PA: "What'sh the problem?'

RP: "Nothing...Crowned Eagle it is. Well done."

But Prinsadam was about to get his cummuppance!

At Crooks' Corner there was this little bunch, with an aggro bull we christened "Colgate" in the lead..

Image

PA: "Eeek! They look very dangerous and aggresshive!"

RP: "Relax! That is pure speculation, without facts to prove it! Are you aware of the implications of..."

Image

PA: "Whaaaa! Get into the car!!!"

RP: "...suggesting a poor dumb animal, probably with constipation issues, would deliberately attack a Registered Member of the Legal Fraternity in terms of...get out of the tree! "

PA: "He'sh coming! He'sh coming!!!!"

Image

RP: "...in terms of the Environmental Protection Act number 4 of...."

PA: "He'sh coming! He'sh cooooommmmming!!!!"

Image

RP: "Oh grow up! You sound like a drunk actress in a questionable video production! We're five metres up, and protected by this impregnable wooden barrier!"

PA: "Moommmeeeee!"

I must say, though, despite Prinsadam's obvious childhood issues, "Colgate" was decidedly aggressive, so to, erm, spare my poor brother's nerves, we decided to call it a day!

A pleasure, you guys! And it gives me great pleasure to write too! \O

Day 4 Part 1:

Day for was actually a Mental health day for me...the weather was atrocious and I had another inexplicable headache so I stayed in camp and marked exams...very conscientious of me, I think! \O \O \O \O

Przemyslaw "Blueshade" Idzkiewicz: "Teachers are the heart and soul of any society...Everyone has to deal with them at some or other stage, which makes their profession unique!"

Anyway, there were at least 3 other teachers in the group.... O/

While taking a break, I noticed this lying at the braai area of the camp...

Image

RP: "?????"

RP: "What the!? "

RP: "You, gardener, come here!"

Gardener: "What now? "

RP: "Could this be from ndlovu? Zika lo ndlovu ma this camp ima history?"

Gardener: "What?" (Stupid umlungu  )

RP: "How could an elephant get here? Ah! I Know! Looks like a very big porcupine scat!"

Gardener: "I don't think so...or maybe?"

RP: "Yes! Look at the bits of tree bark in the dung! Porcupine eat bark, you know!"

Gardener: "I think someone has left it here as a prank..."

RP: "No! This is definitely porcupine...even I would have seen an elephant here last night!"

Gardener: "No....a PRANK"

RP: "No! Giant porcupine!"

Needless to say, one of my darling small relatives had left it there as a prank...

Very funny indeed, BC!!! -O

Day 3 Part 7:

Day tree was a very long day indeed!

It ended as usual with a stunning evening drive along the river, and some nice photo ops! \O

On the way back from Crooks' Corner:

So hung around a bit for the back-lighting:

Image

And then my favourite pic of the year, never mind the trip!!!

Image

That night it was Uncle Fixit's turn to make supper for 20...I can't quite remember what it was, but a lot of pots were involved, being heated/reheated around the blazing fire...!

RP: "Be careful where you leave those potjies! Someone WILL fall over one!"

UF: "Relax!"

2 hours later:

RP: "Be Potjiesh where you leave thoshe carefullsh! Shome..."

UF: "Relax!"

PA: "Are you insinuating negligence on the behalf..."

PW: "I object!"

PA: "Why?"

PW: "The witness is my brother!"

PA: "The witness is my brother too! I object!"

PW: "That does not count, as I objected first!"

PA: "But I am the middle brother, therefore in terms of Section..."

PW: "Aha! Which section are we in!?8)"

PA: "What?"

PW:"We are in Pafuri section! Case closed!"

Another example of the delightful conversation...

A further 2 hours later, after most had gone to bed and I was joining the younger members of the family at the fire:

RP: "You don't know how lucky you...oooouffff!"

Now it is quite an unusual experience to fall over a big potjie next to the fire, deliberately placed there to injure your shin....but it was quite amazing to fall headfirst into the fire, and be caught in mid air by your family members just in time! Thanks, family!8)

RP: "Well done! That was just an exercise to prove the dangers of big pots next to a dim fire! Let that be a lesson!"
