What a great cheetah sighting!
Cute ostrich chicks.

Sad to see a lioness in that condition.

Excellent cheetah and all sightings in fact, Mello!
Great examples of backlighting, you got the contrast just right!
Ja, rangers generally shoot suffering animals regardless, and always have...they are "in their care"?
The ostriches look very neat until one gets down below the neckline!

The ostrich chicken are fantastic, I always wonder why the little ones have these pretty patterns and the adults look rather dull. of course, adults don't need camouflage, but the grey/black coat is not really a benefit either, is it?
Predator management in parks is economics, bring nice sightings to the visitors!
Still an exciting trip and not boaring at all, Mel

Mel
still a lot pleasur to follow your journey into "our" beloved Kgalagadi
The chance you had to see so many Elands all together

and your pictures are magnificent, I especially love this one with the dust and sun, so atmospheric
and our friend the Crow, still telling all his life to everybody
and again a Genet

(the only one I saw was in a tree, in a night drive
I love too the Ostrich chicks, they are so cute
glad the Lioness has no pain anymore
and the Cheetahs, never, never I will be boring by these raced (purebred) cats, you can post as many you want
ready for more

I had always been under the impression that rangers wouldn't meddle if an animal was not suffering because of a human.
But like everything else, maybe that went down the drain in the KTP by now as well. It's getting pretty Krugerized there

There, I corrected it for you
Totally agree with that point of view!
And otherwise - thanks!
