Trying to catch up on some old favorites here 
Seeing the Shipandani Hide brings back good memories of our overnight stay there - loved it.
You did get some nice scenery shots, RP
, and the Pygmy Kingfisher is such a special sighting 
. I'm pretty impressed with your Scop's sighting all due to your knowledge about their call - good job!

I haven't seen a side-striped jackal in years, and certainly never one drinking! 
And onwards!
The Shongololo Loop follows the Shongololo Stream...
BL: "I thought this was the Tsendze River still?"
RP: "Ja, I also thought so, but I looked at the..'
BL: "So you LIED!!!"
RP: "Well, it was still the Tsendze for a little bit.."
BL: "You said the scops owl was at the Tsendze crossing!"
RP: "..."
Anyway, one just goes for miles in this alien landscape...
The baobab is dead from elephant, I think?
There were birds appearing out of nowhere too!
