Day 1 Part last:

(In fact it's the end of this little "business trip"...as I felt so errr, hot the next day I made a bee-line for home! ;-) )

So back at camp everything was going swimmingly, with the aats in attendance at my mansion, deep in conversation with leachy..

On the menu was flat peri-peri chicken and fresh salads, with leachy doing the chicken to perfection as usual!

This frog had made itself comfortable on my cap, and proved to be tricky to photograph as it was a dark subject against a light background, and the photographers were less than competent by that stage:

This was my twelfth attempt, no jokes! :o0ps:

Then His Majesty lurched over to "take the damned pic properly"...and if the frog hadn't been blind by that time, the quaint 2 million candlepower mining headlight used by baldy made sure of it! O**

Image

Notice some of the salad...but more concerningly my whiskey glass...which I wasn't allowed to approach while leachy and aat blasted away at the unfortunate amphibian for an hour or so... :-(

So I had to be content with playing with my settings too... -O-

Image

Finally, supper...and the extraordinary spectacle of aat and elly smelling the salads sonorously before dishing up! I thought it was maybe a Dutch habit, but upon visiting other Dutch people later my suspicions proved to be unfounded! -O-

After some weeks in the bush I suppose one can't trust anything the baboon drags in! -O

It was delicious!

Then the sitting around the fire and chatting began, and carried on long and hard!

leachy discovered an affinity for Scotch, and I think aat did too...can't remember..

After a while we had solved all the problems of South Africa, both forums, international peace, etc. etc.
...the normal result of an evening round the campfire in Paradise! \O

aat and Elly, it was a great birthday present for me to meet you two...an honour in fact, and I think we shall do so again soon! O:V

(Look how skinny Scipio's legs are...and he sits like a girl!... =O: )

I must say, the leach looks much better in ambient light. =O: You should have stopped down a bit more, now that I think of it.

I am concerned about you RP, and your interest in thin limbs. :-?

Where was the frog, exactly?

No pics of the peri-peri chicken?

It must have been warm that night, you are miles away from the fire. =O:

Always good to sort out the World's problems over a drink or three. \O
