Ja, it is a reedbuck, Alpheus!

Well then it's the first time that we have seen a reedbuck around Mopani

It's all the elephants fault that the buffalo lost his head

Those impala babies are so cute when they stand upright with those long legs

To refresh the minds of our members on the donor units inside our parks.....
This family cottage no 11 that we stayed in was a donor unit.
Then when we realized Mr. field ranger pulled into the cottage next to us. (all by himself a 6 bed family cottage)
So my question once again......... did he pay for it
The first thing I did was to check the availability sheets to see how many of these units were open that night
3 of these cottages with a view were available and no 4beds with a view so I assume they gave this 6 bed unit to the field ranger to use for the night
So do they clean this unit the next day after he left or do they think it was unoccupied
Maybe I don't want to know the answer of that question
I wasn't impressed to see this but it was our last night in the park.
Again we were spoiled with a stunning sunset
and our last braai with ice cold tea

Lovely view of the dam, especially with cold tea.

Ja, Alpheus, the camps have always kept one or two units open for emergencies or officials every day, if possible, no problemo! That is why one can sometimes get accommodation if you hang around a camp all day like a vulture, and no emergencies appear!
This helped a lot a few years back when some idiot in our group got the dates wrong and we arrived a day early...
Nice sunset pics again, and nice to see you have small and healthy bite-sized meat on the fire!

There are definitely worse places to have a braai and an ice cold tea!
And if that field ranger has slept upright in the shower (or in a bath tub if available...)
I'm pretty sure there are tale telling signs for the next guests that the unit had been occupied but not take care of

Cold tea is a must when you have that view
