Noise usually happens when using high ISO, try using lower ISO and fill-in flash!

It can be reduced in post processing using the Luminance slider and can also be reduced using the following technique suggested to me by Sprocky :-

"As for the "noise" problem, I have found a trick on the SS forum to sort out noise. The noise is normally in the background areas and in areas where the exposure is not spot on. I use the "surface blur" to sort that out, it also makes the image pop. Select your subjct area, then invert your selection. Apply "surface blur" to this area, you will have to check and see how much to use. Only sharpen the subject area that you originally selected. Hope I'm making sense."
Thanks very much Blue Tuna. Will for sure try this.

We have seen these flitting around the complex and actually saw a few them in our garden a while ago but they are always so darn fast.

At last I saw one in our Geranium plant so I grabbed the camera and just took this shot through the kitchen window. Not a very good photo but a new one to add to my collection of garden birds.

Kalahari Scrub-robin.

I think that i agree with Mel. The colours do not seem right for the kalahari Scrub-Robin and the black end of the tail is missing and it has a red eye. Nice one anyhow \O
