This period includes 1 long weekend (21 March), school holidays (29 Mar - 6 April) and Easter (18 - 21 April).
Sounds more like the standard operating procedure...

Don't know how this has escaped attention, but the owner of Skukuza's Selati train Restaurant was forcibly removed from Skukuza a while back, by law enforcement officers, and released outside the gate!
This relates to the new franchise restaurant deal...(Ciao) ....strong-arm tactics employed!
Anyone with more info?

I vaguely remember a post on SP forum recently after someone enquired as to what the food and service were like in the Selati Restaurant under the new franchise operation.
Reports were good but one reply stated that they had an interesting chat with the waiter who said that they wouldn't be 'Caio' now and would be going under (another?) new name/management. Could be related to the incident you mention.

I understood that Cattle Baron had won the tender to operate in Skukuza!

Cattle Baron has the franchise for the restaurant and fast food. Ciao (Pretoria) has Selati, and was running when we were there from 4 January.
