If you don't disturb the Jackal, the jackal will not disturb you.

From Sanparks 03.11.24
⚠️Social Media Alert⚠️
Satara Rest Camp was badly affected by the recent hail storm that has broken down 21 Eskom power poles. The team from Eskom has been working at the camp to restore the fault for several days.
Satara is currently operating on contingency plans such as generator power supply for the whole camp. For this reason, multiple services have suffered a significant setback. The camp is still fully operational while the management team works to restore the power together with Eskom personnel.
Guests are advised to please ensure that they have enough cash to access fuel ⛽️ services as all card machines are not working. The camp is also struggling with cell phone reception.
We apologise profusely for this inconvenience and hope that all our guests are patient with our staff while the issues are worked on.

Copied from the SANParks - Kruger National Park FB page.

Satara: Eskom has been restored and Vodacom signal is back. Cards can now be used (also for fuel). Camp is now back on normal operations.
Balule: Due to construction work taking place at the moment, the camping site ablution block is closed and campers are asked to please use the ablution facilities on the huts side of the camp.
