To create meaningful employment
:-? Isn't it rather to keep up with the maintenance, before things fall into pieces O**

does anyone have pictures of tent number 21. I requested number 22 for our stay in June but are now having second thoughts. It looks like it is very open over the braai area and does not have a lot of shade or nice big trees. We also like our privacy, so not too sure if number 23 is visible from 22. Only ever stayed in number 2, which we love but it is not available.

Funny Story...
Last year I had an exciting experience with a honey badger waking me up with a sniff on my cheek at 2 o'clock in the morning, while my husband fell asleep on his chair outside :-0 ( the night sounds have a tranquil effect, you know lol ) First I thought the badger dragged him out when I called for him and there was no one in the other bed.. but when the badger left I saw him sleeping outside, peacefully unaware of everything happening inside the tent.

Needless to say, Tamboti is just like no other camp!

Hi Melan 0/*

Unfortunately I don't have a photo for you, but maybe someone else -O-

You must have got a shock when you saw who woke you up  You know they eat just about anything O** lol

Night sounds having a tranquil effect is new to me, but I can imagine what else might have the same effect ;-)

Welcome, Melan! 0/*

Haha, ja the camp is very therapeutic indeed!

If you look at page 1 of this thread you will see that Bushcraft, an expert, highly recommends tents 21 and 22!

Thank you, I saw the post on the first page. I think we should just stick with number 22, and then check out number 21 when we are there to see if we should request it in the future.

As for the tranquil night sound... there are quite a few... Nightjars, Scops owls, lions roaring, Hyenas, sound of Amarula being poured ... must have been one of those that had an effect O**
