I tried it out when it first came out but didn’t find much to sway me at the time. The autofocus is better and I must admit it may become an addition in the future but for now I went with the Canon 100-400 mainly due to the autofocus speed and accuracyPeter Betts wrote: ↑Tue Aug 14, 2018 5:20 pm Pete now you need to upgrade to the G2 version Tamron-SP-150-600mm-G2-Side-Switches.jpg
Yip Pete that Canon MKII is a great improvement over the soft at long end MkI canon 100-400 ..Pity it doesnt come out with a Nikon Mount but having said that I used to shoot crop Factor Nikon D500 with Nikons version of the Canon 100-400 namely the 80-400 and that gave me 600mm essential for Mt Zebra and Kgalagadi etc but now I am back on Full Frame D850 and the Tamron G2 150-600mm gets me therePJL wrote: ↑Tue Aug 14, 2018 8:47 pmI tried it out when it first came out but didn’t find much to sway me at the time.
