To me, it looks more like a scar from a snare that has been removed

They should have more hitmen like this weatherbeaten warrior on known snare laying routes into the Park ..It would stop immediately !!. At Karoo National Park there is currently another escaped lion and guess what there is currently NO stock theft on the farms in that region at the moment as was the case when 'Sylvester ' was on the move

=O:Thieves are scared of lions and snarers would no doubt be scared of Dagga Bulls dancing on their heads

Good news Hyena with snare was found, darted and snare removed. Thank you to the ranger and vets for diligence and not giving up. You are heroes!
