I told him we would find our own leopard.
A hazardous promise
If you see two leopards in one day, can one be used to cover a day when there are no leopards?
The pics aren't great, but proof nonetheless!
Who cares about the quality of the pics, the leopard is real and that's what counts

@Flutterby,
Slow drives are so frustrating!
Time in Kruger is limited. So a drive when one doesn't see much is a missed opportunity.
Fantastic cat sightings.
I hate those slow/quiet drives.
Yes, another good drive.

But I delivered on my promise!

The next morning we packed the car for our drive home. We had decided to go out at Malelane Gate so headed down the H1-1 and H3. I said to the Brat, that in order to keep our record of seeing a leopard everyday, we needed to find one on the drive out, but as we've never had much luck on our last drives in the park he didn't hold out much hope and said that the last morning didn't count, only full days in the park.
We then decided to do one last loop drive, so took the S118 and S114 back to the H3. As we turned right from the S118 onto the S114, we saw vehicles stopped to the left of the intersection. The Brat then spotted a leopard walking up towards us!!
We could see that it was going towards the S118, so we did a quick u-turn. It crossed the road in front of us, but we only managed to start taking pics when it had already crossed.

One last ellie.
And so, we had ended our trip with another fantastic leopard sighting!!
As I said at the beginning of this TT, this was our best trip ever for leopard sightings, and the first time we had seen leopard everyday, even including the last day.
Thanks to everyone for reading and commenting...until next time.

It sounds incredible to say:
a leopard a day; (Bushcraft is an exception not included in the "statistics"
) but you managed and I am very, very
Thank you so much for taking the trouble to do an interesting and very well-written TT
P.S. Is the Brat still studying or living the good life in CPT?

Leopards galore, Flutts, and very rare to see on from camp!
I wonder what those Kruger tablets lions were eating, almost looks like sable?
The baboons are hectic at Skukuza still, I see, something needs to be done!
And a leppi on the way home!
A very successful trip indeed, looking forward to the next one!

The ones at Tschokwane seem to have been "dealt with".
There weren't any hanging around in August
Flutts - Fantastic ending to your trip

Thanks Lis. We were very lucky with all the leopards.
The Brat finished his honours degree last year and is working and living the good life in CPT.
He has applied to do his Masters in New York next year, but it costs a fortune so if he gets accepted he will only be able to do it if he also gets a scholarship.
Thanks BC.
A great trip for leopards but not so much for other cats or wild dogs.

The fridges are inside at Skukuza now so I think they are trying to solve the problem.

Thanks Dzombo. We only saw the baboons that one time, so I think they are sort of under control.
Thanks Pumbaa. Will hold thumbs for you!
