Nope, she is on retirement here on the Thames River London. One can go on a tour of her as well.

What would London be like without its "moltreine".





One of the many LOOOOOONG escalators one has to negotiate in order to get from the underground station to ground level. There are signs on these escalators telling one to stand on the right so that those in a hurry can get past. All these Londoners seem to be in a great hurry and if you are not standing on the right you will get bowled over.


A walk through Green Park to Buckingham Palace.

The Queen was not in as the Union Jack was flying.

Some ducks have now made themseves at home in the water feature of Victoria Monument.




On the way back home through Green Park this squirrel obviously knew that the early squirrel catches the nuts.

6 April dawned crystal clear and full sign. Our first day without wind, cloud or snow. We took a ride out to Windsor to have a look around.

On entering Windsor this beautiful building caught my eye so I took a quick shot through the window of the car.


Ken and Renata had alreday been to Windsor Castle so they stayed in town while Joan and I took the tour but first the obligatory photos outside the castle.




A few photos in the grounds of the castle as no photos are allowed to be taken once inside the building.












The inside of the castle is stunning. The paintings, furniture, clocks, crockery etc etc etc are just too beautiful.

Outside again we got a photo of "The Crooked House of Windsor".
