How would I do it :-? I would disable the availability section from the general public until 7:30am on the 1st, so there’s no proof of key units being booked prior to the official opening -O-

Maybe it was just another convenient glitch in their system O** Time will tell -O-

Now .......... maybe someone read my idea O** O** O** =O: O/

According to a SPF moderator Dinkybird
Hi alf

Availability on the website for that period will be accessible on the same day as Online Bookings open
http://www.sanparks.org/forums/viewtopi ... 67&t=83545

Online availability has always been viewable in the past on the day phone in bookings open or from 12am on the 1st of each month 11 months in advance.

Now I ask, why is the online availability only viewable when online bookings open, which is a day after phone in bookings open.
Has this been done to eliminate the “difficult” questions around why certain key units are always booked before the official opening of bookings

Why else would the online viewing of availability now only open for viewing a day later. Surely many phone in people view the availability on the day bookings open, so the only benefit is to hide why key units are booked surely :-? -O-

I agree 100%. They hide it because they know there are people watching it.

I mean everyone that is busy planning a trip wants to look at the availability section and plan accordingly, but now certain units are already gone before the bookings open and you wont know that until you phone and they tell you.

And if that happens, all the time spend planning your trip is wasted. They will force many people to start changing there holiday destination

Ah you must be right Robert... but that doesn't exactly help anyone plan their trip does it? Maybe as BC says, it's a decent way of hiding the availability and then blaming the lack of availability on 'phone bookings' 0*\

exactly what they are doing, \O what it also does is saves them the 5% discount that you get if you book online. So everyone on the phone bookings and mail bookings are paying an extra 5% to get their accommodation.
