Is the detour video near Kannagaus? That is the worst one I reckon is between Nossob and Grootkolk. Another baddy is around Kamqua Bedinkt but last year we missed out on the river crossing.
I remember you asked about Polentswa campsite. Did you get a chance to cross to the stone grave or was it too wet?
We missed the big trucks as it was builders holiday, but they were still busy doing some work of which I could measure no progress. Left the back gate wide open while the lions were most of the time sleeping near the hide and could easily worked around. And the speed of driving was not kept below 20 km/h in the camp, but normal road speed.
Hope you got the fridge fixed after the Nossob stay.
Looks like you had a hard time with pufadders. Also found a dead springbok without only a jackal nearby. Seems like they got very week from not getting enough water / poor water quality that becomes very salty the drier the bore hole gets.
Lovely bird sightings.

yes, the footage is Nossob-Grootkolk,
around Kamqua and north of the 2 loops (14th+Dalkeith) were also a slough
it was impossible to go elsewhere than strait in the road - river.
Trucks are waiting at TR that the gates closed... and "hop" start in a row

... of course driving during the night and loose bricks and plastic bags everywhere and at which speed

...
