Time again for my weekly contribution.

First up, our anti-poaching unit doing a pro-active flight along the river. Shot from my stoep...
The full moon earlier in the week...
While on drive this morning, I saw this flock of Cormorants battling to maintain formation...
A patient Impala waiting for new green shoots in the burnt area after the fire...
More from my morning drive soon...

Continuing on the drive, it's getting noticeably very dry, even the Warthogs are finding it difficult to locate food...
These Dwarf Mongoose emerged from their chosen termite mound while I was parked there. They were not at all concerned about my presence...
Further on, I drove into the middle of an Elephant breeding herd. I could only get close up shots...
Lastly, a Duiker also finding nourishment a difficult task...

Guess what I did on Friday afternoon? Yes, down at the river again.

It was very quiet, but I managed a few pics, nothing great.

First up, a LBR flying past...
Another fly past, this time a Grey Heron...
Downstream after sunset, a Hippo was walking on a sandbank...
On drive this morning, the first life was an African Harrier-Hawk...

Later on, my eye caught something deep in the bush. I stopped and backed up a bit, two Lionesses lying down. I sat and watched them for a while, and a while longer. Then a group of Warthogs moved in their direction. Suddenly it was chaos, dust and then nothing. They fluffed the opportunity. Here is one of the two, watching as the Hogs trot away...
I then came across Mr and Mrs Sandgrouse. Here is Mrs...

The last one for today, an Elephant enjoying the early morning...
