Thanks guys, the Blue Crane mating display was special!

On my next visit on 26 July I caught the end of the Crowned Crane's mating display!

And the Blue Crane was being narcissistic.

There were the usual suspects.

Now that I've finished my KTP travel tale, I can get back to the huge backlog of pictures I have from other places.

August 10th.

Some angry birds. Redknobbed Coots are among the angriest birds, edging out the Egyptian Goose for that title.

Common Moorhens have their angry moments too.

Peaceful Blue Cranes - these birds dance when they are angry.

August 16th.

Reed Cormorant.

A Hadeda Ibis close enough to photograph for a change. These birds are accomplished fliers.

Little Egret.

Blue Crane portrait.

An exotic Ringed Teal.

Yellowbilled Ducks.

This one looks very pleased with itself.

And an unusual visitor, African Shellduck!
