What a hectic day yesterday! But, before I get going on that, thanks to all of you again for following and commenting here! :ty:

Earlier in the week I saw my first Violet-backed Starling of the season...

It was market day again on Saturday. Not as many sales as last month, but still profitable. It was just deadly hot, temperature was over 40! <hot>

When I got home, ot was straight to the pool with a cold beer. I then went back inside to watch the rugby game. The game had barely started and the power went out. By now there was some shade on my deck, so I went outside and just looked around. I noticed, what I thought was my neighbors boerbul, then suddenly there was another one! :shock: I grabbed my camera, zoomed in and saw that it was two Lions, then a third one appeared. I phoned my neighbor and told him what was walking around. He was totally shocked, as him and his wife were in the pool. We then watched the Lions move into the bush away from the house and he told me to come over and help look for them. We located them, in the golden hour sunlight. Here is one Lioness...

There were now five in total, three Lioness and two males. This is another Lioness...

All five then started heading back towards the house and my neighbor said they are probably going to drink at his waterhole. Here is one of the males walking past my neighbor, you can see his house house in the background...

Now all five of them were at the waterhole. It was now getting late, the light was fading and they were in the shade, so I had to bump up the ISO. Two of them drinking...
